Breaking Ground on the First Dylan's House Home!
On October 22, 2025, Dylan’s House broke ground for its first home in Boardman, Ohio. Since 2023, the board at Dylan’s House has worked tirelessly to develop various housing options serving adults with autism here in the Mahoning Valley. This hard work was brought to light at this groundbreaking event, where they shoveled the first few pieces of dirt on the property that will house their new duplex, which can hold up to eight adults. Check out this rendering of what the home will look like adjacent to 842 Woodfield Ct. in Boardman.
This project was made possible by several community partners, including:
Sam and Donna Boak of Boak & Sons, who donated the land
Ramunno Builders, the project's general contractor
The Purple Cat, which will staff and manage the home
Trisha Howe of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of the Valley, who name the home its “Project of the Year”
